Smartphone cameras tend to struggle with night photography. So often the images are grainy or blurry on account of the lack of manual settings or tripod stabilization. That said, the newest phones handle night shots far better than their predecessors and city folks benefit from the fact that there's typically lots of ambient light on downtown streets with which to work. So, given the popularity of our vintage roundup up of such photos, we challenged our Instagram followers to show off their favourite night shots of Toronto. Of the 250+ submissions, here are some of the best.
